Guest guest
I am a 27 year old male, and I've had the SPECT scans done back in 2006. I've had all sorts of severe troubles for years and years- and it has taken me a long time to finally begin figuring out what is causing 'me' problems. I've been seeing Dr. for over two years. It has taken a long time to figure a lot of this out but after many different courses of anti-biotics, pro-biotics, Valtrex, Acyclovir, Lamisil, Diflucan, Nizoral, etc, etc... and sticking to a strict diet... It has taken me a long time to realize that I can not tolerate chemicals, exhaust, synthetic odors, fabric, cleaners, etc. I couldn't tell any difference with the meds such as listed above- but sticking to a diet that is without dairy, wheat/gluten, mostly organic, oats, fish, etc... And avoidance of the things that cause me triggers, I have been doing much better. Over the past many months I've come across more and more studies linking autism with chemicals... which 'I' believe is a huge over-looked factor concerning the illness. I'll post some links below- I want to point out that over the years I myself have never been diagnosed with Autism, but looking back I have had many of the symptoms of the illness. I've had trouble my entire life. I am actually in the process of checking out , Arizona as a potential place to live because the air quality is supposed to be very good and there are supposed to be few allergens there as well. I have to wash my clothes in a natural laundry soap that we make, I can't tolerate anything but purely natural cleaning products, I can't tolerate diesel exhaust, smog, pollution, even news papers, regular shampoo, conditioner, chemical fertilizer, normal window cleaner, new carpet, and furniture... newly remodled places, paint, etc, etc... I have some suggested reading for anyone interested... One is the book by Dr. Pall; Explaining " Unexplained illnesses. " The other is Overcoming Autism: Dylan's story, By Cristin Fergus. The studies linking chemicals to Autism are listed below: http://abcnews.go.com/Health/OnCall/story?id=4857380 & page=1 http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=autism-rise-driven-by-environme\ nt http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7006980/ I can share more information on what I've had to change and what I have to avoid and maybe post a link for making your own laundry detergent, as well as places to buy natural cleaners that work ok, and don't cost too awful much. - F.
