Guest guest
Hi Janet, Prometrium is actually a capsule that is prescribed to take orally. Because of my progesterone issues (from being over-dosed in the past) I cannot take progesterone orally. (It does not matter if I take it sublingually .. I still get very sick.) Anyway, I use the "oral" prometrium vaginally for 12 days a month. I used to use 200mgs, but because it was making me (again) feel too sluggish, I backed it down to 100mgs nightly. I did that "100" for the first time last month and it worked absolutely fine .. brought on the exact same kine of bleed. I am happy because I felt better on just the 100mgs. Personally .. for me, I have found that if my estrogen is low, I can't handle the progesterone. I think that doc's (generally) want to prescribe way too much progesterone in relationship to where women's estrogen levels are at. Just my opinion. Glo, Can you speak to the vaginal progesterone? is it a suppository?I have issues with P bringing back my hot flashes when I take it and only take Estrogel right now.I've had 2 D & Cs and would not like to have another!I'm wondering if a vaginal application would stop the P's heat effect for me.Janet To: rhythmicliving From: glonear@...Date: Tue, 13 Sep 2011 19:16:58 -0400Subject: Re: Re: Which bioidenticals: w/o chemicals, absorb well, no prescription? I've tried creams, pills .. you name it. It did not matter what form, I did not find that they worked for me. I did try a sublingual progesterone, it actually made me ill. (I think it was because at the time my E level was so low, for such a dose of progesterone.)For the past 15 months I have been getting hormone pellets (estradiol and testosterone). I am finally feeling human again. I use prometrium vaginally for 12 days a month to bring on a bleed, since I still have all my parts. There's no turning back, for me, on my method of bioidentical hormone replacement. Did some research online. Anyone heard of Belmar Pharmacy in CO? http://www.belmarpharmacy.comLooks good, very nice poeple. Call and ask for info. They've been using tabs (yes orally but it bypasses the liver) successfully 20 years! Is absorbed in the intestine. Hormones can be added separate or combined. My combined prescription P, E and Testosterone only $38 month, 1 tab a day w/ or w/o food (before bed). They also make creams or capsule. All their products are without chemicals (preservatives). I am going to try it. Free shipping via usps, can pay for expedited. Will let you know. Creams, or things that have a taste, such a hassle including have to be careful what you touch. They say the tabs are the most popular and the product they are most proud of. I think it is my solution. • Phone: - 0 for person or - 0• Email: Pharmacy@...and no I'm not an advertiser.
