Guest guest
Betsy, I saw your post after i had already sent mine. Too bad we won't meet up but perhaps another time. Good luck with all your decisions. It is so difficult when you are the one who has to figure out in which order to do everything. Keep me posted on how things are moving along. I still haven't gotten a date yet to go to cleveland. I will let you know how it turns out. good luck Jen k
Guest guest
Re Chargers with cochlear implants: My son, Cameron , was implanted at 4 yrs old. I admit that I was a little surprised that he was accepted because of his syndrome. We are probably not relevant to your cause because we are in New Zealand. Cameron had no hearing before, but is now hearing sounds up in the speech spectrum. Like Bryce, his results arent anywhere as good as ' normal' implantees but he is making progress all the time. We have had to have assessments every 3 months because the map in the implant kept needing adjusting, or he had facial stimulation. He really enjoys it, and is making some really good word/sound approximations. Good luck. Tricia
