Aloha from Las Vegas.

Menopause must be making me stupid in addition to everything else. I can't

figure out how to see the different topics. Other forums I've participated on

are arranged differently. Any insights would be appreciated.

57 and just stopped menstruating the last couple of months. I've taken a wild

yam product for years but the company changed the formulation so I started doing

off the shelf progesterone creams (Dr Lee style).

Just got back to sleeping soundly, got rid of the HF using my own herbal

formula. The three days before I started WPI was feeling great. Dang- shouldn't

have messed with it. Side note- my HF's have always been when I'm raising my

hormone levels- not when they're dropping it seems.

Stabilized my temp with an adrenals support product. Temp improved but still

below 98.2- which was always my magic number. Strangely, under 98.2 used to put

me horizontal. Now I feel fine. Taking a form of iodine. FWIW, feel like my

thyroid may be working more efficiently.

2.5 years ago my body comp went to hell. Batwings, eyelid droop and crepey skin

appeared overnight like some kind of alien abduction. And the totally EVIL

inability to lose weight. Well, I've lost 150 lbs this last year- that's 15lbs

10 times.

Constant searching led me to Wiley Protocol. Actually liked the info in LO so I

was open to a BHRT protocol that wasn't a static dose.

Bottom line- the first week on the E- holy crap! I was totally stressed out, not

able to fall asleep for an hour, 2 hour waking spells, waking up stressed. Crazy

me- I didn't put it together right way- thought it was just my life and job. But

when I increased the dose on Day 6- whoa, everything got worse. Felt like I was

going to have a heart attack.

Called the doc, talked to him and his wife. He said 85% of the women he's put on

Wiley quit! Why didn't he say that on our initial consult? Let's keep in mind

that doctors are the #1 leading cause of death in the US ahead of heart disease

and cancer.

I was hoping to hear that others have just waited for their body to accommodate

the estrogen or modified the dose. He couldn't help me so I found you folks.

Thanks for being here! What stories! Actually glad now for adverse reaction to

the E before I have a chance to poison myself with too much progesterone.

So I decided to not take any E last night. Slept fine. Feel fine today. The

adrenaline feeling is gone. Don't want to set off the HF monster again so I'm

trying not to overcorrect. Thinking I'll cut it back to a much lower dose- a

line or two. Will read through what you women have found helpful.

Again- my heartfelt appreciation for you being here.
