Guest guest
Hi Vickie, I am trying to talk my husband into the pellets. He is using the Gel and that has helped but he needs more help, ha! His main dr (who knows nothing much about pellets) scared him by saying he had to remove the pellets from a male patient because they were inserted wrong and caused sciatic pain. Oy! I talked a woman several years ago who has been getting the pellets for years and told me I should try them. And many other women since then. I was petrified and it took me 7 years to figure it out :-) I wished I had listened to her then. I would never have gone on the WP and had my life pretty much ruined. Liz Hi Liz, I am happy that the pellets have worked so well for you. I have had pretty much the same results. It has truly been life changing. And it intersting to hear your expierence with the creams. The only reason I am considering trying the cream is that I would have more control over the hormones and my thoughts where that I would be able to more closely mimic the natural hormonal cycles. I have been reading tons of information and it is really quite confusing. I think my doctor may be unique in giving the T & E injection. The injection has a immediate result (with in a day or two). It's kind of a booster until the pellets kick in. And yes I was totally depleted... Phew, I'm not going to let that happen again! I started using the progesterone cream 200mg a day. My doctor prescribed it daily with no break, but he said that it would be fine if I wanted to cycle it, which I do. I'm not sure if I want to do 2 weeks on and 1week off or 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off.. My husband age 62 also had T pellets inserted in Dec. He has been super happy with the result. His energy, mussel tone and mood have greatly improved.. Vickie
Guest guest
Also, I forgot to ask - if there is a bad reaction to the pellets, can they be removed? Guest guest
Hi Vickie and Liz, I am very interested in the pellets, but mostly because I don't absorb E well through my skin - or rather, I absorb it all at once, which makes me nervous and jumpy, and then there is nothing left. A vivelle patch of .075 feels bad for the first few hours - very nervous, anxiety, etc, and then it's gone and I have aching bones, hot flashes, constant feeling of heat, mood swings. Are the pellets more stable? I'm actually more afraid of the anxiety when it first all dumps in than of the feeling terrible after it's gone. The only E delivery system that worked well for me was Aerodiol, and they removed it from the market some years ago, not because of bad side effects anyone was having, but because the company either went bankrupt or was sold. If the pellets are smooth from the day of insertion, I would definitely want to investigate further. Gael Hi Liz,I am happy that the pellets have worked so well for you. Guest guest
Hi Vickie, It’s a long story :-) I don’t know how to effectively search the archives but my story is in bits and pieces through out. P ruined me at the age of 39, then again when I was on the WP, 5 years later. I really think it’s irresponsible of drs, nurses, anyone, to put the fear into women about the importance of using P. It is insane. Just an FYI – I was using 125mg of transdermal, prescription, compounded P when I was 38. I got endometrial cancer 6 months later and had to have a complete hyst. While on the P that time, I also got severely depressed, anxiety and went crazy. Ended up on drugs. All along the dr kept telling me to use more P. Ughhhh. Liz Hi Liz, Geeze I have been reading up on progesterone (from links on this group) and now I thinking twice about taking it! Especially at 200mg a day.. You say the WP pretty much ruined your life..
