Guest guest
I don't have personal experience using it, but my brother loves Google Voice. It forwards to any phone, has voicemail, and a host of other features. We would probably be using it if we didn't already own an expensive phone system. Pratt ok, I am STILL waiting on Medicare's opt-out approval, but last week they sounded very encouraging so i'm hoping to start seeing patients soon...one thing I need to figure out is what to use for phone service. I'm doing a housecalls-based micropractice, solo. I figure I'll be using my cell phone but probably should have another number for the practice, which forwards to my cell phone. I would like to be able to program different answering messages depending on time of day. And I would love to have one of those services that transcribes the message.Suggestions? What are other solo practicioners using? thanks,leslie-- Kernisan, MD MPHGeriatrics
Guest guest
I use Google Voice, it is awesome. Free. Logs every phone number that ever called us or that we called, saves every voicemail forever. Forwards to any phone in any manner, and you can create schedules for forwarding. There are rumors it will stop being free at some point, but I would even pay a few $ for it. We use it in conjunction with VOIP in the office. We use the Obi gadget. Find it on Amazon - along with detailed instructions on that amazon page, of how to link it to google voice. So we have no office phone bill. Just an internet bill. and my personal cell phone. > > ok, I am STILL waiting on Medicare's opt-out approval, but last week they > sounded very encouraging so i'm hoping to start seeing patients soon... > > one thing I need to figure out is what to use for phone service.
