Guest guest
This is a very confusing “study”. They did not indicate where the HPV was found. Are they saying cervical HPV? They say 9 of the “sexually inexperienced” had had non intercourse sexual contact. 8 had HPV. Were these 8 of the 9? Could the girls be lying? Also, where is this? I have not had a single patient with identified HPV in years. This ridiculously high incidence is very hard to believe. And was is the clinical significance. If “sexually inexperienced” females can get cervical HPV at age 13, why aren’t we doing PAPs? We aren’t doing PAPs because this HPV is usually clinically insignificant is my understanding. There is also another article titled “Vaccine has Early Significant Effect on HPV”. The article showed a decrease in subtypes included in the quadravalent vaccine in both vaccinated and unvaccinated and an increase in the types not included in the vaccine. So what are we doing really? Shifting which subtypes people get? Is this for the better? And they say the decrease in the unvaccinated study group is evidence of “herd immunity”. Only if they are having sex with eachother. I think that was a big jump in logic really. Guest guest
Another few questions to be raised is: Who paid for the study? Was there any pharma vaccine influence in the study design, authors or conclusions? My assessment is this was published to get more docs vaccinating for HPV, as well as to get Males vaccinated as well. Follow the money trail and don't believe every study that comes out!
