Guest guest
Does anyone have any experience with a company called genelex? A rep stopped by my office the other day. They do personal genomics--but with a specific focus--cyp mutations and drug metabolism. It has a nifty web interface and you program in all the patient's medications and then with a genetic analysis it can tell you what meds work ok, what won't--but it also is good at telling you what meds to try instead and what would also not work. Certainly for some patients that feel they can't take any medications due to sensitivity, it might provide some objective data. Just curious if anyone has any experience. Most of these services sound way too good to be true..most of the time..

Guest guest
had a patient for whom this was ordered Genensight RX to try to figure out what medication for depression would work for her medco did it without my ordering it and forwarded the results But in this sample of one patient, the medications it suggested did not work, and the older medication that she had been on (which wasn't supposed to work) ended up working better. so - don't know..
