Carly if you go to the very short sign in page and it says Need stronger security?Switch to secure modeand you click the blue link it will put you into the https modeIt hasn't kicked me out yet.I'm not collecting insurance information so I'm cheerfully going to ignore #3 point and wait for them to come and find me :-)LynnTo: From: carlygold@...Date: Thu, 19 Jul 2012 15:40:37 -0700Subject: Appointmentquest security topic again

I've posted a reply from AQ re: a few questions I had. In it, they state that they provider an encryption certificate when using the https address.... unfortunately, as I've looked at this the last few days, I cannot connect to the secure site- I am re-directed to the non-secure site and there is no confirmation of security in any of 3 browsers I've tried. This may spell the end of AQ for me. Anyone using Updox for scheduling with AC?Thank you for contacting AppointmentQuest with your questions.

1. "Patient contact and appointment information is kept private and shared only with account administrator and authorized personnel." This literally means that patient contact and appointment information is only accessible by you (as account administrator) and your staff members (business users on your account for whom you have created logins). By submitting support requests you are giving permission to AppointmentQuest staff to access your account, including appointments and contact information to the extend needed to fulfill your support request. AppointmentQuest staff is not authorized to access appointments and contact information outside of support requests. All internal access is recorded.

2. https://www.appointmentquest.com/ is fully HTTPS SSL protected. You can view certificate information from your browser.

3. Collecting insurance information through AppointmentQuest requires signed BA agreement. AppointmentQuest does not sign BA Agreements as accompany policy. If you intend to store patient privacy sensitive information in your online scheduling system you may consider choosing another scheduling provider that offers signed BA Agreements. This type of systems are usually in entire different price range.

Sincerely,

AppointmentQuest Privacy Officer
