I wasn't going to use the schedule! I need a way to block all the patients in the message box as my patients can be very nosey even if I am quick opening their chart and keeping that screen blank was the way to do it. What do you do? I haven't like AC's appt schedule and was looking at VueMinder. Do you know if it has a seperate way to check insurances using ACPM? Sounds great that it will post itself! What interfaces will need to be purchased for that? Then I assume it tells you what it posted so you can compare and make sure you weren't underpaid? then quickly lets you rebill? I believe this will increase the yearly fee? To: "practiceimprovement1 " <practiceimprovement1 > Sent: Saturday, August 11, 2012 9:15 PM Subject: AC PM

yes you can check individually but you have to be signed up with Gateway clearinghouse ( I think they may work with other clearinghouses later but Gateway is the one for now)no interfacesyes it tells you the payment, the contract adjustment and the copay - if 0 left over then the balance is zero if not zero you can bill pt or resend electronically to secondary for the programyearly fee no changehere's the demo page http://amazingcharts.com/the-ehr/product-tour/practice-management/To: From: myriaemeny@...Date: Sat, 11 Aug 2012 19:39:04 -0700Subject: Re: AC PM

That stinks! One more fee to pay! But that's only to check insurances right. I don't have to change how I bill now? i.e Office Ally. To: "practiceimprovement1 " <practiceimprovement1 > Sent: Saturday, August 11, 2012 10:47 PM Subject: RE: AC PM

I think you don't have to use the PM module but if you want to activate it to use its features then you have to sign with gatewayyou do not have to move from office allyTo: From: myriaemeny@...Date: Sat, 11 Aug 2012 20:00:30 -0700Subject: Re: AC PM

not sure I understand.didn't you just say you didn't want to change the way you bill through Office Ally?then you will not need Gatewaythey have an option for low volume practices, I think I am going to pay maybe between $50-$65 per month depends on which options you chooseTo: From: myriaemeny@...Date: Sat, 11 Aug 2012 20:15:36 -0700Subject: Re: AC PM

I can still bill with Office Ally for free but I will have to continue manual input of EOBs and can't check insurances and wait for AC to add OA to the list of partners. I was looking forward to not doing all the manual input. I assume it will still generate all the reports like balances due, in appeal, etc. Thanks again. From: Lynn Ho

Thanks for the info Lynn.  Like Myria, I didn't realize that the PM module would mean having to pay for Gateway.  Bummer.Making me lean more toward to Practice Fusion (did a demo with on Thursday evening last week; was fun mainly because I got to hear her voice and see her sometimes :)).

Hmmm.Sharon

Thanks for the info Lynn. Like Myria, I didn't realize that the PM module would mean having to pay for Gateway. Bummer.Making me lean more toward to Practice Fusion (did a demo with on Thursday evening last week; was fun mainly because I got to hear her voice and see her sometimes :)).

Hmmm.Sharon

I can still bill with Office Ally for free but I will have to continue manual input of EOBs and can't check insurances and wait for AC to add OA to the list of partners. I was looking forward to not doing all the manual input. I assume it will still generate all the reports like balances due, in appeal, etc. Thanks again.

If you are talking about Practice Fusion, you can use their connect Kareo for billing. All the data including insurance info and claims are " pushed over " to Kareo. You can sign up ERA, EOB and EFT for majority of insurances including Medicare. The only one my staff needs to enter manually is the local HMO who refuse to sign up for the " E " s unless I use their EHR, which is not necessary.

I also beta test Version 7 (10 year user and have done lots of beta testing) -

the Practice Management is good and the bugs are getting worked out. One thing

I thought I would clarify is that it costs nothing to use the PM but the monthly

Gateway EDI fee includes insurance checking, electronic EOBs, etc. I have

checked with Jon Bertman and he reiterated that you don't have to subscribe to

Gateway to use the PM- the same way I currently use Medisoft (although pay

Gateway fee and they have never get electronic EOB to work).

I assume practice fusion or office ally may offer a free electronic PM program

and feel if people want to switch that is their prerogative, but I have 10 years

invested in AC with notes back to early 2002 and since the other PM I use

charged me a fee I am okay with it.

P.S. I have been a member (lurking) for years and am not an IMP but like to

watch ideas and discussions about all things in private practice (I am still a

slave to the infamous hamster wheel).
