Guest guest
, My son has been on the diet for 8 yrs and I'm probably going to get into trouble for saying this but......I do not follow the diet to a T. My son eats more carbs than he should but I give it to him anyways because he will starve himself! I do not give him any dairy though and berries really hype him up. I see the difference when he cheats at school with foods, he goes crazy! So I know if he has eaten chocolate or coffee cake. Don't give up try to stick to it as much as possible, you might think your child is doing great until you get the blood results and those don't lie! I've been reprimanded plenty of times by Dr. G......good luck, it will all pay off in the long run. Hope this helps some (: Peggy Sent via BlackBerry by AT & T Dr. G's diet No responses yet, so I am reposting. Thanks ! Is anyone willing to share some feedback/encouragement regarding Dr. G's diet for our kids? We have been doing it for 3 years now and I am growing fatigued from it (and falling off the wagon). When we " cheat " , we don't see any negative results, until we gradually cheat more and more. Then I think, " Well, maybe is one of those kids who does not need the diet " . Meanwhile, three months go by and were wondering if the diet needs to be reinforced more stringently. We are adamant about no dairy, but I think we give far too many carbs. Have any of you gone off the diet and still been able to maintain improvement with the protocol? Maybe I just need a kick square in the pants to put me back on track! Any comments/suggestions appreciated. Thanks in advance,
Guest guest
Hi Peggy, Thanks for the information. How do you know based on the lab test results that there has been reactions to foods? Guest guest
Hi , I forget the name of the actual blood test but it is one that he does every time we go to see Dr. G......and if my son has been cheating on the diet, he has elevated levels. One time I was giving my son blueberry everything and his results were so bad. I didn't know he couldn't have blueberries, my son was devastated. And so was I because he doesn't eat any fruit. Taking that out of his diet was hard but I did see a difference about a month later. And this was recently. My son is 14.....he's been with Dr. G since he was 5and he is near recovery. He still has some fine tuning but we are still headed in the right direction. Hope this helped....... Peggy Sent via BlackBerry by AT & T Dr. G's diet No responses yet, so I am reposting. Thanks ! Guest guest
, When Dr. G is not happy with my boys' eosinophil counts, that's when Dr. G asks to see a week's record of their diet. My most dreaded task! Caroline G. > From: <jrodrig6605@...> > Reply-< > > Date: Sat, 27 Feb 2010 07:50:02 -0600 > <nids > > Subject: RE: Dr. G's diet > > Hi Peggy, > > Thanks for the information.
