Guest guest
Chewy Raw Oatmeal Cookies 1 ½ cups sprouted oats 1 cup sprouted Wheat berries 1 cup sprouted almonds 2 apples (Peeled and diced) 2 carrots (peeled and diced) 2 cups of grapes 1 tsp Ground cinnamon (or more to taste) 1 tsp Maple Syrup (Optional) • In Processor, pulse Oats, wheat and almonds until you have a medium meal texture. Remove and set aside. • Pulse grapes just until chopped (I had to do in 2 batches so all would get cut but not turn into mash). Remove (including juice) and set aside. • Process apples and carrots until mash; add cinnamon and maple syrup Add half of the oat/wheat/almond mixture back into the processor and pulse until mixture breaks down into a fine meal/pasty scrapping sides down frequently. Add liquid from grapes to help process. • Add grapes and remainder of oat mixture to processor and pulse a few times just to combine. • Shapes into cookie rounds about 1/4 to 3/8 inch thick and put on lightly oiled teflex sheet on dehydrator rack. Dry for approx 4 to 5 hours on low (I used 85) until set. • Remove from teflex sheet, turn over and dry for approx 2 more hours until evenly dry but not crisp. The result should been a nice chewy style cookie with bits of dried grape (aka raisns!). These are perfect for raw food days or anytime you want a healthy snack!
