Guest guest
I've heard that peppermint improves digestion. I guess it's an old wives' tale. Since digestion is related to AFIB in some of us, it makes sense to me that it would help. I like to have a cup of peppermint tea after the biggest meal of the day. In your case, though, it could very well be the Sotalol alleviating the AFIB. Did your start with the tea and the Sotalol at the same time? Sandy Peppermint Tea I have heard that peppermint tea seems to help alleviate AFIBs. In my case I take a cup in the AM and PM. Number of AFIBS has decreased, but it could be the Sotalol. Any thoughts?

So maybe the pepermint tea helps as well.I also heard that Chamomile tea is helpful. > > >
Guest guest
i had been told by my cardiologist and nursing staff when i was in the hospital to avoid peppermint because it was a heart stimulant. i too have vagal aspects to my controlled permanent a-fib. when i drink pepperment tea it increased my misery quite a bit. i did notice that artificial pepermint flavoring in my tea did not affect me as badly as the mint from my garden, which threw me for a royal loop. what makes this worse for me was that i was a peppermint addict & always had altoids or the equivalent, in my mouth and was always drank mint tea.
