Guest guest
I for one am curious to see how this XMRV plays out as I have two kids and a husband possibly implicated. Something tells me the answer will not be simple but certainly a confirmation of this virus would give us another component of the whole complex neuro immune viral pathology (!) . I spoke to Dr G about actually testing for the virus which some of us are curious to do. Dr. Goldberg is in the loop with the Whittemore sen institute and therefore he will be able to coordinate legitimate testing as to the virus for people who want it .( He thinks fairly soon). I assume it will be to the advantage of the group as a whole and to individuals to have this standardized and collected in one place. Dr Goldberg has been on the viral path for many years and in all fairness the identifying of a new viral component is just more fodder for the argument and potentially another tool for a long overdue medically based diagnosis. Maybe as parents we can use this XMRV hoopla as more ammunition that our kids are sick and not developmentally delayed and that we really need some serious medical attention for them NOW! //
