paper scripts for Diabetic Supplies in NY

The pharmacy board has ruled that starting two weeks ago they will not accept e-scripts for diabetic supplies unless it's codified. Of course my Amazing Charts isn't codified for those supplies. Now I'm being told I can handwrite them and fax them the old way and they will be accepted! At least two pharmacies have started following the rule already. What are others doing? I think this will be one area where I write a years worth of refills.
