Guest guest
Oh my goodness I love that . I refer to it often. Sheri From: <jlhank80@...> Subject: RE: , allergy treatments Date: Sunday, September 27, 2009, 10:43 AM , I am doing this treatment for my daughter with autism...(recommend ed by the NY office) and you see an doctor from the Academy of Environmental Medicine www.aaemonline. org. This treatment is for environmental, food, and chemical sensitivities. Its called provocation/ neutralization or Maximum Intradermal Tolerated Dose (MITD). My daughter has MCS and a CNS reaction to many foods and substances. I dont exactly understand how the histamine and serotonin work but they are neurotransmitters and cytokines involved in the inflammatory process and when you do this treatment it helps the body cool down inflammation. I saw the doctor this week and he said you have to have a good understanding of Cytokine Biochemistry to understand how this works. I don't but I know it works because my daughter is doing wonderful on this treatment but like Sheri said, we did first and it was a big part of her recovery. Basically, these treatments instantly desensitize you for a period of time and they also work long term to help you become less sensitive to chemicals and allergens. Does this help? A good book about this is called " Is This Your Child " by Dr. Doris Rapp. She is well known for using this treatment. - > > > Would someone mind explaining to me what the histamine and serotonin is supposed to do- or how it works?
