I would ask for an interim IEP to address a positive re-enforcement based

intervention regarding his organizational skills.

Hello All,

Quick question to anyone who would like to give advice...... .recently my 14 yr

old son had gotten trash pick up because he handed in some papers that were not

in order. This teacher is punishing him because he is unorganized. I was

extremely pissed off and did not think that that was appropriate action to take

because my son struggles with being organized and it is something that we are

always working on. What do you think that I should do?

We are constantly struggling with this as well. I agree regarding positive

reinforcement. We just finished 's 504 Plan for the year and his current

teacher insisted that the vp write in the 504 that should only be

corrected " gently. " She totally gets it!!!
