Guest guest
, If you get a chance...check out the HHV6 website too....my daughter and husband both tested negative for HHV6 on the regular blood test....there is a very specific IGG test that has to be done to see if you have had past infection...my daughter tested positive for a past coinfection (even though it initially was negative). Majority of the population has had HHV6 (doctor confirmed 98-99%)...the key is if you have had it activate in your body....for example seizures, autoimmune issue (CFS). My daughter has seizures and my hubby has CFS. HTH, Tricia (the lab test should be covered through insurance because of your autoimmune issues...the test is with Quest Diagnostics) > > > > From: Briffa SeventySeven <briffa77@...> > > Subject: HHV-6 and EBV > > > > Date: Monday, February 22, 2010, 3:16 PM > > > > Hello everybody, > > I have suffered from chronic fatigue for the past 16 years since I was a teenager after I had mononucleosis. My EBV IgG and EBC VCA antibodies are very high, the lab report results say >8.0, indicating possible reactivation. I just received results from my HHV-6 and I have very high IgM antibodies 1:320 indicating recent infection or reactivation. I recently ordered Immunovir and Amantadine. I know immunovir is used to help Chronic Fatigue by fighting EBV but is Immunovir known to work on HHV-6? > > Also, I bought the amantadine because I read that it helps with ADHD.
