Guest guest
I have received a first time ever request. Patient apparently went to a hearing center I didn’t even know existed from a coupon or ad in the paper. She was apparently complaining of hearing loss in 1 ear. I get this letter saying she qualifies for bilateral hearing amplication and please fill out this form and add your stamp (what stamp, why do people think doctors have some magic stamp) and indicate she is “medically cleared” for hearing aids. What is medical clearance for hearing aids? I know how to make sure a patient is medically stable for surgery but I have no idea what the medical indications for someone being able to or not able to use hearing aids. And they didn’t send me the results. She is Medicaid HMO patient. And I know nothing about her having hearing loss.
