Guest guest
Aadon's history sounds a lot like my son's. He was born at 26 weeks (with his twin sister). He was dx'd with CP and ASD (both mild) right around age 3. He was relatively healthy until 12 months, when he got the MMR while being introduced to cow's milk (the cow's milk DID NOT go over well, gave him asthma and SEVERE constipation), and at 18 months he got both a flu vaccination and rotovirus in the same 5 day window. From then on, he was getting sick ALL the time, and staying sick for months at a time. Rashes, ear infections, respiratory infections, constipation. Dr. G has helped him TONS in that area. His biggest challenges now are speech (language) and because of that, social. My son had early intervention from the NICU. He would present with a delay or an 'issue', receive therapy for it, then move on and not have a delay. Except speech. That wasn't " caught " until he was 2, and by then, I think he was really delayed and that was when he was sick so much that it further delayed him. You would not know he has CP, it's that mild due to all the EI he got. Dr. G talks about a retrovirus. I read a study that 30-some % of preemies that develop CP develop it due to exposure to a herpes-related virus right around the time of birth, not a hypoxic event. That really fits for me in relation to my son, and I think it's why he has been so successful on Dr. G's protocol. My son STARTED drooling at 3 years - I feel like it was encephalitis taking over his brain. I shudder when I think of where he would be without Dr. G's help.
