Guest guest
He could be experiencing die off symptoms, which can include headache, irritability, flu-like body aches. Is it possible this is what he's experiencing? If so, it's a sign that the Valtrex is working. Guest guest
If your son is on valtrex he also needs to be on a strong anti fungal (prescription like diflucan). The valtrex kicks up yeast in the autism population and can cause really aggressive behavior. Generally, the kids have a rough time the first 50 days on valtrex....rashes, moodiness, fevers, irritability, aggressiveness. Then the gains start to come. Try to stick it out for a minimum of 2 to 3 months. If you are seeing rashes it's a goood sign it's working and releasing the viruses. My son also has darker/cloudy urine.  From: Ferrer <cferrerb@...> Subject: Valtrex 500 Date: Sunday, March 28, 2010, 9:24 PM  Hi to all!. my son Vasco is 11 years old, this is our second week in Valtrex 500 mg; he is taking 1 1/2 tablet 3 x day.How long should he take Valtrex to see if it working?. it is very expensive in my country (Peru).
