He could be experiencing die off symptoms, which can include headache,

irritability, flu-like body aches. Is it possible this is what he's

experiencing? If so, it's a sign that the Valtrex is working.

If your son is on valtrex he also needs to be on a strong anti fungal

(prescription like diflucan). The valtrex kicks up yeast in the autism

population and can cause really aggressive behavior. Generally, the kids have a

rough time the first 50 days on valtrex....rashes, moodiness, fevers,

irritability, aggressiveness. Then the gains start to come. Try to stick it out

for a minimum of 2 to 3 months. If you are seeing rashes it's a goood sign it's

working and releasing the viruses. My son also has darker/cloudy urine.
