Guest guest
You can also check local health food stores. We have a small health food store in our town which has just started stocking it. Heidi Help me convince Trader Joe's to start carrying Daiya cheese! Currently the only place you can purchase Daiya cheese is at Whole Foods -- the nearest of which is an hour's drive from my home -- too far to be practical. I'm trying to get Trader Joe's to agree to start carrying it, but they told me that they will need to get multiple requests for it. So, if like me, you'd like Trader Joe's to start carrying Daiya cheese, please go here: http://www.traderjoes.com/about/thank-you.asp Then click on " Contact " and then use the " General Feedback " form to make your request. Guest guest
I have asked the manager of our local Whole foods and even the Win Dixie to introduce me to the buyer for a specific department. Every time they have agreed to stock this or that and see if there is a demand. In reality as my son grew older it was always a problem in that he wold find a way to convince a care giver or classmate to share cheese products. What worked best was to convince him that the behavior episodes were related to what he ate. In reality most of the GFCF foods have a multitude of other triggers. Artichoke Flour, Spelt flour, more importantly they are full of preservatives because they do not sell well and to be profitable they must have a long shelf life. These are a problematic as the casein. I finally went cold turkey and explained that Pizza and Doritos just made " you " sick. To bad. He would cheat and then melt. I would ask him what he ate, he got it! It did take time. --- On Thu, 4/8/10, theshabbysheep@... <theshabbysheep@...> wrote: From: theshabbysheep@... <theshabbysheep@...> Subject: Re: Help me convince Trader Joe's to start carrying Daiya cheese! Guest guest
My son hasn't been a patient of Dr. G's for about 2 years now but if he still feels the same, he will not approve of the cheese because of the tapioca/arrowroot flours. Guest guest
Dr. G feels the non-wheat flours that are used to make foods gluten/casein free have as much or more allergen potential.
