Hi,

My son doesn't have a diagnosis of Bipolar yet, but i do.I had the diagnosis

years ago, but then my current doctor said he thought that was a bad dx-he

suggested ADHD. After trying two ADHD meds that had no effect, my doc now says

he thinks we might need to go back to the Bipolar dx.

It really makes me wonder about my son....he has a dx of ADHD/SPD/Aspergers. 

Honestly, the distinctions between these conditions are tricky!  ADHD looks a

lot like bipolar, and they both look like Aspergers, and I think they can all be

helped with sensory strategies....as others have said, it really is  " the

syndrome mix " .-ka

I have one child who has mild/moderate " A " word; my older one has Asperger's,

and now my youngest, who we thought had ADHD, is now exhibiting symptoms of

bipolar disorder. His teacher and I are both at a loss. He can be so sweet and

accommodating, and then he cycles into this child I don't recognize, hostile,

screaming, calling everybody names, convinced we're all out to get him and

saying he'd be better off dead. And he's only seven...my heart breaks for him.
