Hi ,

I don't think he approves of MB12; we consulted with him a few weeks back. Our

son had been taking MB12 for a while under DAN protocol. He said that it

oversimulates the brain, or something like that.... and asked us to stop giving

him the shots.

Subject: Methylation

What is Dr. G's advice on giving methyl B12, DMG, or products that help the

methylation process?

Some people skip the test, & try the supplements. If they give you a big boost, you need them.AnneOn Jul 8, 2010, at 4:11 AM, migde12000 wrote: The benefit of having Dr. Yasko's suggested gene test for methylation is that it can help one determine what supplements might benefit you more. Some people that can't get well despite trying many things have the CBS upregulation. The test would show you this. There are things you can do to control this and need to control or your chances of improving might be hindered. This is off topic, so if interested you can google Dr. Amy Yasko and read more. I have the CBS upregulation and it explains to me why alot of my past efforts at improving my health have not paid off. Deb

Anne,

That might work for some people. But, if you aren't aware of your SNPs then it

would be difficult to know which supplements to try and which to avoid. Unless

you are referring to the simplified protocol by Rich. In that case, you can

just try the 5 supplements and see if you get any relief. Deb

For a detailed explanation of the supplements see the CFS Yasko group.

There are posts and also files, etc. to explain everything. Some people there

have had the tests, but alot haven't and are just trying the supplements. Deb
