I JUST RAN ACROSS THIS AGAIN..........

IT SUPPORTS THE NEW IDEA OF THE 8 DIAPHRAGMS

IN THE BODY, (a la Mantauk Chia and GJG gelosis patterns.}

Deodorant is fine,anti-perspirant is not.

Here's why: The human body has a few areas that it uses to purge toxins;

behind the knees, behind the ears, groin area, and armpits. The toxins are

purged in the form of perspiration. Anti-perspirant, as the name clearly

indicates, prevents you from perspiring, thereby inhibiting the body from

purging

toxins from below the armpits.

These toxins do not just magically disappear. instead, the body deposits

them

in the lymph nodes below the arms since it cannot sweat them out. Nearly all

breast cancer tumors occur in the upper outside quadrant of the breast area.

This is

precisely where the lymph nodes are located. Additionally, men are less

likely

(but not completely exempt) to develop breast cancer prompted by

anti-perspirant

usage because most of the anti-perspirant product is caught in their hair

and is not

directly applied to the skin.

Women who apply anti-perspirant right after shaving increase the risk

further

because shaving causes almost imperceptible nicks in the skin which give the

chemicals entrance into the body from the armpit area.

I don't know what the truth is, but I worry when people believe every thing

they read on any of the " debunking myths " websites. Who runs those sites?

And who says that these aren't some of the same " experts " who tell us there

is no link to vaccines and autism. I love that one! :D You know what I

mean? Like folk who may have accepted some money which just naturally skews

their view.

I recently read on one of those type sites that SLS is perfectly safe. Well,

I have some serious reservations about that one as well. So I just worry

about people who accept such information as gospel, close their minds, and do

no additional investigation.

Of course you have to evaluate for yourself, but there are several cancer

experts debunking this as an urban legend:

http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/blnotes8.htm

To quote from breastcancerinfo.com,:

" Apparently, some people think that perspiration is a way for the body to

rid itself of " toxins. " In reality, perspiration is a mechanism to regulate

body temperature. The fluid we call " sweat " does not contain any toxins. It

contains natural bodily wastes like water, urea, salt and fatty substances.

Preventing perspiration under the arms does not affect the body's ability to

eliminate these wastes, as they can be eliminated through other areas of the

body such as the soles of the feet and hands and most other body surfaces.

Extensive research has been done on the risk factors associated with

developing breast cancer, none of which have been linked to the use of

antiperspirants. Research does show that the two most significant risk

factors for developing breast cancer are being female and getting older. "

I have misgivings about debunking the antiperspirant thing as well ... I think

it's just one of those YOU NEVER KNOW ... things .. me personally ... I couldn't

go with just a plain deodorant ... YUCK.... but that's just me

I agree that we have to evaluate each of the urban legends. I didn't like

how they dismissed the breastfeeding ban as an urban legend. Even if it was

just a publicity stunt, it was generating anti-breastfeeding sentiment.

However, I also think it's not wise to blindly believe something just

because it seems like alternative medicine or because it seems to fly in the

face of western medicine. Reading through this stuff on

breastcancerinfo.com, it did make sense. The body can flush toxins through

more than one outlet.

I worry more about the aluminum in anti-perspirants being absorbed and

crossing the blood-brain barrier. Or about the under wire bras compressing

the lymph nodes. But it doesn't seem that wearing anti-perspirant prevents

the body from releasing toxins or regulating a body temp.

Dear Margarita Queen Blondie,

Thank you for that great advice. Blondie gives out such advice

quarterly!. And I look foward to it, because it means i am

approaching the off season, study group will be winding down for a

bit of a rest period before the next one will begin again for

November. They usually get going and strong two months before.

So sometime in September we will see a great influx of new questions

and more new members. However this site will remain active in

posting current news and drug information and updates. It will still

be education and study specific. So we will not be entertaining non-

educational topics. We will not be like other chat type forums. This

forum is DEDICATED to discussion of and presentation of facts and

information and not personal situatinson the job, trivia practice site

stuff. There are some fine forums out ther is you wish to do this.

this isjust not a setting for it. So while doors be open for more

discussion, and while the study group unwinds a bit, new things will

take its place, until the next study group begins to get going again.

I encourage everyone to return to see new postings of new information

on drug related topics and articles, FREE CE, Resume Building and

more! In other words just because the study group slows down for a

while, unlike the study group in the past, we will still continue to

be very active, but again very dedicted to educational issues only.

Thank you for the geat advice to our study buddies!

Respectfully,

Jeanetta Mastron CPhT BS Chemistry

I would leave them for gender-sensitive medical or facts-of-life

issues only. Don't see why anything else should be segregated and have

folks left out of it

Hi all

I remember seeing that message and editing it or one like it. It takes a lot of

work for Rick to do this while on the road and I can't always get to them as I

am also on the road to the Pulmonologists or in bed fighting whatever is in my

lungs. One last test was done on Monday, checking for any signs of aspirating

food into my lungs. That was really inconclusive. So I await my appointment in

Calgary on Dec. 2nd for either a diagnosis or at least to start some sort of

treatment. It most likely will include Prednisone to try and shrink any nodules

in my lungs but will most likely help my pain from inflamation in my spine and

joints.

Evidently when you have Rheumatoid Arthritis, which I also have on top of the

AS, there are some nasty lung issues. Seems my recurring pneumonia is part of

that.

Just a reminder

Hi Everyone,

This is just a reminder to all too please not quote someone's entire

message. I know it seems that all of a sudden I just stopped enforcing

this rule but I haven't. The truth is that being on the road all of

the time it can be somewhat difficult to moderate messages. I now use

an iPhone while I'm on the road and I can approve / reject messages but

not edit them without a good deal of work.

We had a message the other day that quoted four previous messages. It

had to wait until it could be edited. I would like to be able to

approve everyone's message right away so we can keep the conversations

flowing in a timely manner to the benefit of all members.

Thanks for all of you that continue to cooperate.

God Bless.

Rick

I forgot one plus for the test done on Monday. It gave me a great look at my

Cervical Spine. They used fluroscopy and let me watch the whole thing on a

monitor. I have a sneaking suspicion that some of my throat problems are being

caused by nerve impingments in the C Spine.

By the time they figure out what is wrong with me I will probably be able to

stand in the corner and glow like a night light. Two CT Scans, Bronchoscopy, 10

chest x-rays, and one Fluroscopy in the space of one month should do it.

The Bronchoscopy was wild before the doc knocked me out. The respiratory tech

was trying to jam a tounge depresser into the roof of my mouth while trying to

deaden my gag reflex. Several attempts of gargling the freezing were to no

avail, even trying to hole swabs soaked in the freezing material directly on the

trigger points for the gag reflex did not work. She had my mouth frozen so I

could not feel my tongue and she was telling me to stick my tongue out. Easier

said than done. Finally the doctor reached across my chest and injected more

sedation into the IV line. That is the last I remember until waking up just

after noon hour. It was enough wake up time for us to get into the car, me in

the backseat and get out of Calgary for home. I slept the entire 3 hour

journey. Even after that the doctor just had to shrug his shoulders when asked

if he knew what was wrong. Wonderful high priced help.

Blessings to all

Fr. Dave
