Now someone may lose weight doing this diet but at what cost? All that mucus that is produced from eating acidic foods (this includes cooked anything) will only hurt the kidneys, heart, pancreas, digestive system, brain, nerves, lungs, adrenals, actually the whole body will suffer. If he truly wants to lose weight, maintain the weight loss and be very healthy in the process he should eat raw living foods only. No diary, no cooked anything. All grains, nuts, seeds should be sprouted or at minimum soaked for 8 hours. The majority of what he eats should be fresh organic fruits and raw organic vegetables. Guaranteed he will lose the weight, keep it off and be extremely healthy in the long run. He can obtain all the essentials his body needs from eating just those items. And the best part is he can eat as much as he wants with the exception of the nuts, seeds and grains (those in moderation and only raw). But, we all must learn in our own way in our own time.
