susie, that sounds about right.  seems we live the same 'nightmare'.  i have always been sick to my stomach also in the morning. could hardly eat.  also, i can have those same days were i didn't sleep, yet once i wade through the bad morning, something goes off and i have that energy boost.  most often after that, the next day i am really sick to my stomach,  then spend the day down. feels like the thyroid/adrenal system is manic/depressive.

i too always had to 'push' through the day when my kids were home.  i think it is better that way.  today, with no kids, i have the luxury of doing very little and i think it lends to depression.  i was always very productive and enjoyed being so. sitting and doing nothing is very discouraging.  although, i am much sicker than when the kids were home.  i've been reinfected, older, the benzo withdrawal i'm having trouble with.  however, i have more knowledge of what is going on and have this group for support.

i have those hot flashes 24/7 every 30 min. along with several other symptoms, and have for over 10 yrs now.  interesting to hear others have them.  mornings and evenings seem to be worse.  although, if i have to be overly active, i have them quite intensely during the day. they also increase with coiling and herxing.  they seem to have a mind of their own.

thanks for your response.  it helps to compare symptoms, being able to understand where the symptoms are coming from.  understanding and identifying the source helps one deal with them.  not knowing drives ones nuts.

thanksbarbara

Barbara,

Because I cannot fall asleep for hours sometimes & always wake up minimum of 3-4 x a night, most of my mornings feel like they should be nighttime & time to go to sleep rather than get up. I don't know how much is thyroid, adrenal, lyme, etc. The main problems are the hot flashes which force me out of the bed & also hip/thigh/shoulder pain from sleeping on my side too much, but I prefer that position. I do not lay in bed late however, because I am too petrified that it will affect the next night's sleep even more. So I make myself get up & start the day (not later than 8 am, more like 7-7:30.) Sometimes the fatigue wears off, more often than not, I have to sit in the recliner to try & get a nap. I could be dead tired & still not be able to even take a nap during the day. I can't turn off my thoughts. Once in a blue moon however, something odd happens & I still can't figure out what causes it. I'll have a bad night of sleep & still get up normal time & a switch will go off in my body in the opposite direction. I'll have enough energy to do things all day. If I try to take a nap, can't sleep. Then most of the time I'll STILL have trouble falling asleep that night. It's like my body got stuck in overdrive for a day. The only thing I can assume is the Hashimoto's thyroiditis. It is common to have symptoms of both low & high thyroid. Talk about being confused. The other main problem about mornings is that you have to confront another day with all the things you have to do to your body just to keep your head above the water. I was never the kind to pamper & preen myself because I was too busy doing other things, so it's doubly hard for me now because I have to do certain things & not even get much improvement from them. I have found out though that if I say to myself " maybe I'll feel better later " , whether it turns out right or not, it's something to get me through the agony of the morning & hopefully to a better afternoon. Things most of the time do get a little better later in the day, but it's often hard to realize that first thing in the morning. So I guess we have to just keep doing positive self-talk in those crucial early morning hours where thoughts can change the outcome of the whole day. Keep on practicing & know that you are not alone.

hi,my husband started using l-tryptipan for sleep.  after his knee surgery he has had trouble waking up about 3 and not being able to get back to sleep.  he takes one at bedtime and then when he wakes up at 3 he takes another and in about an hour he goes back to sleep.  he is really sold on it.  nothing else has worked that well, safely, for him.

Hi Suzy and Barbara,

I can realte ot you very well

Insomnia had began well before I had even th eidea I could be sick just I had severe insomnias 10 years ago up to not being able to sleep for 2 day in row sometime 3 . So I was to the special sleep consultaion at the hospital at this time. What they do they try all sort of sleeping pills and tells u sto turn from one to an other one not to get addicted to only one .

bu tthey were barely working until I got the rivotril tha tis additcive as a medecine. then for years I have beengetting slowly out of it and htne fall down immediatly in for any liitl estress or change of schedule inlife until weell into the desease when I found that itis viruses and ammoniac that gives theses nasty insomnias . It makede me so sick I became a zero tolerance one for insmnia no tallow even one night withotu a sleep as it was degenrating fast in a no sleep at all in a few day I could not sleep any more for severla night . Since then I amextremly carefull with this . I just managed once again to get out of rivotril it took me 4 months now I just need 4 melatonie of 10mg one hour before sleep. I was saif over this years of insomia tha tit is also dependant on the hormone . if it is fro getting to sleep i tis the melatonine if it is awaking early in th emorning it is related to stress or

hypogrlycemia that trigger the stress hormone to burne fat a get enouhgt gluose in th eblood so when I awake I immediatly take  alittle bit of ceral and milk and go babk to bed .

What mde me succeed in controling th eall thing over the years was georvital first thing in th emorning every other day as it cuts the vicious cyrcle of the stress hormone it was giving me energy so muhc needed and good mood too . in the evening the melatonine . they are not equal I found ou that some doe snto owrk at all in fact most of them so I take only life extension 10mg and Kal 5mg losanges as it works faster sometime I would add the time relase one . for this swan son vitamine is not that good I uses it but it is not as efffective than kal or life extentsion to m y opinion any other one simply doe snto works for me .

I tryed to wipe out amonia it did nto do a thing, the MMS that kills very well the viruses did not improve my insomnias so I gues sit was not viruses insomnias  . dct Clarck says that parasite does it whne they die freeing a lot of amoniac .

I beleive it as I get at by th eend of the first  week of her 3 weeks parasite cleanse each time a drastique agravation that stay untilthe end . Lymeis somesort of microscopic parasite too .

For the swetaing and chills onc eI realised tha tthe mms every hour on the skin with the MMS makes it disapeears within 15 mn I do not hesitate to do ti when ever I feel it . So I think it might be viruses realted theses sweat or bacteria related as it owrks instantaneously . To my opinion it is infection overpowering our immun system as it calm down as soon as MMS take sover the killing,

Kindly Marie
