Guest guest Posted March 15, 2002 Report Share Posted March 15, 2002 Hi everyone, I've recently been diagnosed as an AFIB sufferer. I won't give you all the tedious details that lead to the diagnosis but I'll tell you that I've been started on Monocor 5mg/day. It knocks the *$# & out of me! WOW! It puts me out! Then I'm wide awake at 3am. It sucks. I still get the irregular rhythms too! I'm only 30 and I'm not too thrilled to have this. I can go " all day " with a pounding chest. I'm thinking of asking for the ablation procedure. I can't forsee being on meds for the rest of my life. Any thoughts? Do you guys get really tired when you're in AFIB? Thanks guys, I need all the advice I can get right now. FYI I had an echo cardiogram and it came out fine. Strange things indeed.
