Those who react to Lugol's iodine, or Iodoral...the reaction is due either to bromine detox, or to taking it in isolation without the necessary companion nutrients. There is an iodine yahoo group that gives the full " iodine protocol " ...there are companion nutrients that need to be taken along with the iodine: selenium, salt, and I can't remember what else.

Thanks so much everyone!!!

Jim,

I read on here about DLPA for pain relief and have the parts of it here (next time will just buy the DLPA supplement), but haven't been using it because I bought it just before my coil machine arrived and I try to only start one new thing at a time.

However, now that I'm more acquainted with herxes, is it ok to take the DLPA and rife at the same time? I never know what might cause encysting.

I'm excited to find out that iodine is among the cures for Candida. I was told by a natural pharmacist that it also helps clear excess estrogen for women whose bodies don't break it down properly. The first time I tried taking it, I had a massive reaction, though now I know it may have been caused by the yeast as well. It was years ago, and I didn't know enough to cut back the dose and keep going. I will try and post again after being on the protocol for a while in case some of the other ladies have a similar problem.

Again, thanks to everyone. I am excited and encouraged by the responses and hope to get started ASAP. :o)
