Guest guest
Jut thought I'd throw some happy news up here. My son who started with Dr. G in early April is doing fantastic! His speech therapist today was kinda floored. She said he looked so good! (and she is very conservative) He is spontaneously telling people things, remembering stuff I didn't think he was noticing. For the last month his interest in books is astounding. He wants to read and know how to spell things whereas before he wouldn't even begin to pay attention. And laughing, getting when things are funny! He is so happy, i think he feel so much better. Not all is solved, but man im proud of my kid and SO thankful for Dr. Goldberg. I think the man should be sainted.

Guest guest
That is wonderful. I'm so glad you're getting results and so quickly. I'm turning in my paperwork to Dr. Goldberg in the next day or two, but I'm really nervous for my son. He's 12 yo and the diet will be extremely hard for him. So it's really reassuring to hear good news. Thank you for sharing. Guest guest
Hi Sloan, That’s AWESOME! My son has been on the protocol with Dr. G for 4 years. I’m SO GRATEFUL, too. I don’t know where he would be without it. My son is the one who started drooling at age 3.5 (what 3.5 year old starts drooling?). The drooling stopped, and never returned, a few days into the protocol (specifically with an antiviral). We were at Disneyland today and he asked me (after we rode California Screaming), “Mom, do you like to go upside down?†and he looked at me for my answer! He also pointed out SEVERAL things and he was not just pointing them out, he was looking at me to make sure I saw and was interested in what he was showing me (forgot how tiring that can be, but oh, so grateful for it!). Several times, he asked one or another of the friends we were with what ride they wanted to go on next or if they would sit with him. Woohoo! Guest guest
thanks all for your encouragement! Kristy, i love what you said about your son. My son has just started asking me about my likes and dislikes too! Amazing. I was looking at a catalog and he looked over my shoulder and asked " do you like that bed?, do you like that dining room? " !!! Its not like this is coming out of no where.. he does work on such things at speech, but he is using his skills now! And his energy is night and day compared to 2 months ago. For those of you that asked, Im just totally following Dr. G's protocol. So far: 1. probiotic 2. flintstone's vitamin 3. acyclovir (anti-viral) 4. paxil (1/4 pill) (SSRI) 5. ketolconozole (anti-fungal) that's it. having done the DAN stuff before, I have to say I am a lot more sane too... giving his 20+ pills a day and constantly worrying that i hadn't found the right supplement had me absolutely nuts! interestingly, his viral titers still have not gone done. Dr. G has changed him to acyclovir which is given 5x a day, think this might be doing the trick... well see with next go-round with labs. best to all, s

Guest guest
Hi Kristy, Before we went to Dr. G we had my son on the SCD (and kind of GAPS) diet. Since seeing him, we have just been following his rules. We have been using a lot of goat milk, goat cheese, and goat yogurt... cutting out the soy that I was using. Maybe cutting the soy is helping. I hear thats a big allergen. He has the 2 slices of wonder bread a day and that has made him so happy! to be able to have a real PB & J and even rice crispies in the morning. we try to do all organic though besides those with meat, vegetables and fruit. The kid is so hungry its hard to fill him up. > > Hi Sloan, > > Do you follow the (anti-inflammatory) diet or any other diet? > > Kristy Nardini > TazziniTM Stainless Steel Bottles > <http://www.tazzini.com/> http://www.tazzini.com > kristy@... > Phone: 858.243.1929 > Fax: 858.724.1418 > > > P Please consider the environment before printing this email. > > From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Sloan > Sent: Wednesday, June 23, 2010 9:02 AM > > Subject: Re: a wow day with my son! > > > thanks all for your encouragement! > Kristy, i love what you said about your son. Guest guest
Hi Sloan, I've read that soy protein is almost identical to bovine protein (casein), so it makes sense to me. My son was really reactive to soy (he has not had any for 5 years), and it kind of freaks me out anyways, so we don't use soy. That's great your son is so hungry! Is that new since being on the protocol? My son did not grow (much) for 3 years, but he's back on track now that he is finally " healthy " .
