Guest guest
Epsom salt is magnesium sulfate where magnesium oil is typically magnesium chloride. The following is a link to a page that compares the two forms of magnesium a bit. http://magnesiumforlife.com/product-information/magnesium-chloride-vs-magnesium-sulfate/Greg
Guest guest
Epson salt (magnesium sulfate) is more rapidly excreted from the body.. For those who are Autistic, sulfate in higher doses is necessary as they lose sulfate by peeing.. Magnesium oil (magnesium chloride) is easily and quickly taken into our cells... Mag chloride is also an electrolyte necessary for health.. Mag oil can be used transdermally, as a foot soak or in a bath soak... http://www.magnesiumoil.org.uk/2011/02/magnesium-chloride-vs-magnesium-sulphate/ Take care, Jim > > do epsom salt baths do essentially the same thing as magnesium oil? >
Guest guest
Thanks for the info. and link....I was wondering about the difference myself, with the mag. baths my son and I are taking! I feel better using the mag. chloride. Jodie L. > > > > do epsom salt baths do essentially the same thing as magnesium oil? > > >
Guest guest
Hi Jodie L, The reason you feel better is the magnesium chloride (mag oil), it remains in your body at a a much higher amount... And since you do feel better from it, most likely means you are low on magnesium and this makes Lyme feel worse when you have low magnesium, but better as you build your mag levels.... Magnesium is the most important supplement for someone with Lyme.
