This should be a safe place.I sort of don't want to know, but could you provide his initials at least, so this heads-up could be a bit more specific?Be well,Léna Ok, this is just a warning there is a man in this group who had me fooled into believing he was a good person. He tried to convince me that california was going to fall off the map and that I needed to move to him in PA or I was going down with the rest of California. WHO DOES THAT to a single mother, and to think a single mom would leave her children behind??!!!? NEVER!!! if it was going to happen id just rather go down with them not leave them for some guy! Someone so crazy and lonely they have to try and scare someone into a relationship with them? Then to try and say they are speaking in tongues reading these fake works he didn't even know what they meant from a piece of paper pretending to be something hes not? That is just so WRONG to do this to me. I am sick from lyme and toxins and this is very sad that someone could be so cruel. Just be warned so you are not his next person to prey on

HISorry to hear your story but it happens often to many people. Manipulation and fraud. Some people can be very convincing and create lies about themselves and sell their ideas to almost anyone especiallly the vulnerable. People i guess act out of their own desperations and sometimes in the end they are the ones fooled or needy and are to be given sympathy in a way. Here is another perspective of this person. I am not defending him, but

remember that Lyme in it's extreme form can cause severe delusions and of course

loneliness. He may actually believe everything he said to you. There must have

been a reason he was attracted to this group in the first place, but then again,

maybe he just trolls for vulnerable people and is fully cognizant of what he is

doing. Who knows?

I wouldn't think people would join a Lyme disease support group unless they are

sick or know someone that is. If they do join for kicks, then they have way too

much time on their hands and need to get a life or as you say are looking to

take advantage of people. It is the internet and we all need to be vigilant and

not give out too much information, as there are a lot of people out there with

ill intentions and the internet often does bring out the worst in people. If he

has been privately emailing you, just block his address.
