Dear parents,

We saw Dr.G last Tuesday and I stopped my son's all supplements excepted DMG and

Zinc (Dr.G said ok) next day. I noticed some negative changes.

(1) I started to give him mineral oil instead enzyme and trufiber as Dr.G's

recommendation this Monday. His teacher mentioned that he becomes much more

distractive and has more uncontrolled giggling this week. Even with full

prompts, he can't finish writing for only one sentence that usually he did well.

(2) Since I stopped enzyme and trufiber, he ate less and less day by day. Today,

he only eats 1/6 breakfast and zero lunch, which he usually was able to finish

100%. Moreover, his constipation comes back. His energy also is much lower. He

also talks much less.

(3) After I took off cod liver oil five days, his teacher told me that he

started to squint even with glasses (he only squinted without glasses a few time

in past). Now, I notice he squints a lot especially when looks at bright or dark

places.

I have heard that cod liver oil is good for kids' vision. I don't know if any

relative things between the cod liver oil and his eyes.

I have not yet started Valtrex but I have been nervous with above changes.

Please share your experience. What do those reactions mean? Are they temporary

just because of his body changes (off from supplements) or he really needs those

supplements?

Your help will be greatly appreciated!

Xiao
