Guest guest
I was curious what the percentage was of children on the protocol that also have bowel problems. Are they regular and go daily and is it normal? Would you assume that if you don't have bowel problems... as in normal movement once a day- that diet may not be as much of an issue for you. I understand that diet is more about allergies and inflammation BUT if you are regular in this area maybe food allergies is not so much an area for focus and its the antiviral area, etc... that needs focus? It would be nice to be able to rule something out Thanks so much!
Guest guest
Thankfully our son doesn't and never has had issues with constipation. But he does have severe food allergy problems. Even on the strictest of diets we are still not able to pull his IGE down. We just recently got our labs back and the IGE is the lowest it has ever been at 650. The norm is below 150. We are thrilled but obviously still not there. So I guess we are one case where bowel problems and food allergies do not coincide. Hope that helps. Guest guest
Hi Martha. Are they sure it is a food that is the trigger? Could it possibly be an inhalant (dust, mold, pollen, cat/dog hair, etc.) or maybe an interal yeast allergy? Could that set the IgE out of whack? Have you had testing done? Guest guest
According to Dr. G the IGE is food only. He also has environmental allergies so we have taken action in his room. (Air purifier, encased pillows and mattress etc.) Any thoughts or opinions about IGE being food related only are welcome. It is very frustrating to continue to restrict his diet with no change in IGE. Martha On Sat, Sep 18, 2010 at 4:56 PM, and Freeman < freemanbk@...> wrote: > > > Hi Martha.
