Guest guest
Greetings all, We will be taking a trip to Hawaii (I was blessed to win a continuing ed scholarship) where the time difference is 6 hours behind us. My other concern is that this is our 4yo w/autism's first airplane ride and we will be travelling with a layover both to and from Hawaii. I can't tell you how excited AND concerned I feel about many things. Would any of you have tips on any of the following: How we can help him cope w/the time change. Riding in an airplane (helping him not kick seats etc. If he knows there is something he is not supposed to be doing and he is in one of those disregulated states, he has had a tendency to do whatever it is he is not " supposed " to be doing) The layover Also we will be taking a red eye with a layover on the flights back home Feeding him GF/CF/SF and free of his other food allergies Travelling with food and beverages Getting him to sleep through the night there Preparing him for the trip Any thoughts, tips at all would be greatly welcomed and appreciated. Many blessings, The Coles
