Hi Joe:

When I went into the hospital back in October of 2000 to start

Dofetilide/Tikosyn, I also experienced extreme anxiety and nervousous. I had

pins and needles in my hands and feet and just plaine old sick. I hated it!

They called it * Panic Attacks*. A Relaxation Nurse visited with me for an hour

every day and walked me through the greatest relaxation techniques - and it

worked. By the time I left the hospital, everything was back to normal

including my heart. Except for two minor Afib episodes, I have been in NSR for

a year and half. They originally put me on 500 Dofetilide twice a day, but when

I was released, they reduced it to 375 2x daily.

Here's to NSR and feeling really good really soon!

experienced this

horrible feeling? Joe in NH

Tikosyn at 375 mg bid has minimal side effects problems for me and

did not control my afib completely. We tried 500 mg bid and after 3

weeks I began to experience a very uncomfortable constant anxiety and

even panic attacks which I had never experienced before. Insomnia got

worse as well. The dose was reduced and the problems subsided. So, I

guess it was a side effect. Thanks for your post it made me feel

better.
