When we did tests at Great Plains lab two years ago, they found that he had

(1) elevated VMA, (2) elevated kynurenic acid (tryptophan metabolite), (3)

high hippuric acid (conjugate of glycine and benzoic acid) and (4) high

arabinose. How do these findings link with the immune system and ? I

understand the link with yeast (arabinose) but not with the rest. Is this

type of finding consistent with other lab test results that other parents

have had done?

Our son is currently on Custom Probiotics, Florastor, occasionally vitamin

Bs, magnesium citrate, Epson salt baths and a small amount of zoloft at

night (approximately 5mg). Any information that the experts can give

would be appreciated. Our son is intelligent and deep down wants to be a

nice boy to others but consistently bothers, teases, aggravates and bullies

other kids. I know it bothers him and I know he does not want to be like

this but his hyperactivity doesn't give him a chance to think about others.

He is also g/f, c/f, low sugar, no dyes and limited soy. He sometimes reacts

very badly to bananas - but not all the time...
