NOW Foods' xylitol is corn-derived, but it's non-GMO. I react moderately to things like cornbread and corn tortilla chips, but no reaction to the corn-based xylitol. Shauna

I called the 2 co's I buy xylitol products

from, they apparently use corn derived xylitol; they skirted around the

? and said sometimes we use birch and sometimes we use corn, I asked them

to be more specific which products contained the birch (they couldn't comment

on that), it worries me because I'm sure it's gmo corn, I don't want gmo

products (which is probably hard to avoid these days), and I don't want

to consume products from corn period.

I can't vouch for this site below, but

they explain a lot about birch vs. corn derived xylitol.
