Guest guest
, You are right Dr. G does charge for phone consults. Those are not covered by medical insurance. We are fortunate to live close now enough not to have to do phone calls anymore. But when was young we lived in Minnesota and also had to do the phone calls not covered by insurance. ( Much cheaper than a plane trip to LA) I am grateful he is willing to treat kids out of state. Do you know how difficult that is for a doctor to do? And Dr. G unlike Stan Kurtz is a doctor with medical expertise. Stan charges $200 for an hour to another parent who is going through what we face every day. He is making money off our kids. I find that criminal. And if you want to compare doctor fees, I'm told Mc Carthy's doctor charges $1000 for an hour's consultation. I think Dr.G is extremely reasonable considering he has to pay his office staff who have to deal with much more with treating patients not in state. A friend of mine who lives in Singapore has a kid on the spectrum. Her child was hospitalized for an extremely high fever. Her doctor from there talked to Dr. G to help her child. Do you realize the complexity of getting these two specialists to talk with the time differences and their crazy schedules? But Dr. G made it happen because he truly is devoted to helping our kids. So yes he charges, but I think he is less than the guy who fixed 's ingrown toenail the other day. I'm done venting now. Sorry about that.
