Guest guest
Our son sleeps with us in our bed and then we transition him to his crib when he falls asleep. We also put down a thin blanket in his crib and that makes it soft enough for him to sleep more comfortably. I am not too worried about SIDS anymore since he's almost 9 mths and can lift himself up pretty well. We dress him lightly and sometimes w/o a blanket, depending on the weather. Our DPT said, " What is cold for you is comfortable for him " . We go by that standard when dressing him. Good luck! > > > > Does anyone have any tricks for helping the kids learn how to sleep with the cranial band? > > >
Guest guest
Despite my prior email to the group about starting one thing at a time, I'm using the Green Dragon Botanical encapsulations that have everything in them - I am starting at the entry level dose - plan to go up slowly. I'm surprised to feel more clear headed, perhaps it's not those, as I just started Monday, but something else I'm doing that I'm not taking into account. - Jen From: wilson33@... Also, try and epsom salts bath before bed - I even take magnesium (2) and calm powder during the day. How much did you start with? _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of jen kahn Sent: Friday, August 13, 2010 7:19 AM Lyme Treatment Subject: [ ] More energy starting core protocol? I have finally been able to start the core protocol (was having issues with antibiotics and had to let things settle down first). I haven't had a good night's sleep since. Well, my sleep feels more restful, but there's not a lot of it. I had been taking eleuthro (2 drops) for 2 days, but I've cut that out and my sleep has not improved. Generally speaking my brain feels clearer and I have more energy in general... I am wondering if anyone else experienced this when first starting the core protocol, or...? Thansk! Guest guest
My grandson in the past month bed at 9:00 p.m. 10:00 p.m. wakes up at 2:00 a.m. stays awake til 5-5:30a.m. then awake a 8:30 a.m. This isn`t enough sleep for a child his age last nite he stayed overnite didn`t go to sleep til 11:00 p.m. Not eating one of the reasons(I think due to to tired to sleep)he may sleep 1 night because he is so exhausted. Dr. Goldberg says take 2 benadryl before bed. he also takes 1/4 tab. tenex. The only recent changes has been on prozac for 1 1/2 months (just inc. dose) & changed to acyclovir to valtrex. Has anyone have these sleep & eating problems with their child? Thanks Carole
Guest guest
Carole, This sleep stuff is hard. We would have some issues when we made a med change. Also occasional bedwetting would sometimes happen with a med change too. Usually this stuff was short lived, but if it doesn't stop soon call Dr. G again. Guest guest
This is a major problem with my son. I am awake right now at 4:44 am because he woke up at 3:00am. He will probably go back to bed at 5:30am and stay there until 8:30 as well. About 2 months ago, he was staying up all night (this went on for 2 weeks). For my son, he has major bowel issues. I have been easing up on the miralax and milk of mag so that is why he is awake tonight. If possible, see if you can get his gut x-rayed and see if he is constipated. Just a thought. Guest guest
Our 10 year old son started Valtrex 3 months ago. We had a couple of sleep issues in the last month, where he goes to bed at 9-10 pm like normal, but then wakes up at 11pm. We just put him back to bed and he goes to sleep, but then wakes up again at 2 or 3 a.m. and stays up until 5:00-5:30a.m. Then sleeps until 6:30 or 7am and is up for the rest of the day. He isn't crying or acting ill. Just awake...and a little irritable/anxious.
Guest guest
The majority of kids with autism need a prescription anti fungal while using valtrex. A symptom of yeast is night wakings, silly giggly behavior. You can look at his tongue to see if it's white. Ask your doc for a prescription for diflucan it works great.  From: TAMMYandRYAN K <rtnkraft_1@...> Subject: Re:Sleeping " nids " < > Date: Monday, August 16, 2010, 3:41 PM  Our 10 year old son started Valtrex 3 months ago.
