Guest guest
I am going to ask my DAN doc for a script for an SSRI. Is there one that seems to work best for most kids (paxil, celexa or prozac?). Also, I know Dr G uses low dose......so would that mean my son would work up to 1/2 the regular dose? Thanks! Guest guest
You're correct on how Dr G doses - starts very low and slowly increases. We can't suggest an SSRI, since they vary so much among children, but I do know Dr G tends to start with Paxil then Zoloft. Guest guest
Each child is different. Those are not the meds Dr. G used with my kid. was never on either of those SSRI's. And the type really needs to be determined by a doctor. I know how tempting it is to be Dr. Mom. I did it for many years until I found Dr. G. However, we are not doctors. Although our input is extremely important to our children's care, we must have a qualified doctor on board. Hope this helps. Marcia
