Guest guest
I thought I would start a new thread so as not to change 's thread too much. But raised an interesting point for me. I remember how in dancing I would invent my own moves and ways of doing things. I didn't develop thes new moves and techniques at home, but developed them live on the dance floor. This would be great for a few months as I had some unique and clever moves which I could put into standard dance routines so the women could follow easily. Then all of a sudden, probably due to anxiety, I couldn't remember how to do the move anymore, I had forgotton it. Then it might take me many months to relearn the moves but what I realised was that when I initially learnt the moves I had no idea how I did them, it purely automatic. Trying to figure out how I did the moves was hard work, but at least I would never forget them again after that. My point is tha good driving has this automatic and partly uncoscious quality too. Too much awareness of throttle, clutch, and brakes, could cause everything to fall to bits. Kv
Guest guest
I'm not very good at mindfulness, but I once managed to spend an hour being very mindful. Not much happened really, I was just aware of the sounds and sights around me. I did not reflect or think about what was happening and I began to realise that if I spent my whole life like this I would be nothing more than a vegetable, it seemed. Hmmm, and years could go by without thoughts as some buddhists proclaim 24/ 7 mindfulness. Now buddhists say your miss your life when your mind is in a state chatter lost in thought, and yet without thoughts and in a state of pure awareness, I felt I wasn't really living anything much at all, really. Maybe I'm missing something? Kv > > > I thought I would start a new thread so as not to change 's > thread too much. But raised an interesting point for me.
