Jeff,

It is like ICQ if you have ever heard or tried it. It means the software

allows you to have an instant chat with someone (kind of like your own

private chat room). A buddy list appears in your upper righthand screen and

lists the screen name of those buddies who are currently signed on the

internet. If you want to say " hello " you just double click on their screen

name and thus send them an " instant " message.

It is really fun like talking on a telephone but writing and reading instead

of talking and listening. If you go to the AOL website you can download the

software for free.

Unfortunately, AIM doesnt work with WebTV, nor does the Java version of AIM

called quick buddy
