Thanks in advance for the help!

My son has had a fever of 100-102 for several days. My NT daiughter has the

same thing. Both have fevers of 101-102 on day one and then 100-101 for a few

days after. My question is- my son seems fine other than the fever- hes a

little cranky and a little tired which would be normal if you were fighting

something off ( my daughter has more congestion and a cough so she has started

ABX). I have read that fevers are good - its what fights off germs that can't

live in hotter climates. So, should I let him continue to fight off the bug on

his own or start on ABX ? If we are trying to keep inflammation down then I

should start him. If we are trying to rev up his immune system maybe I should

wait until he has some other symptoms. He has always gotten improved after an

illness like this- we would give Tamiflu and ABX and he would have noticeable

improvement- but I'm starting to worry about the effect of ABX several times a

year. Please don't yell at me :) I'm trying to weigh my options and yes, if

the kids are uncomfortable or at bedtime I do give them ibuprofen for the fever

so they can sleep easier.

Thank again!
