Hello Group,

Been inspired recently and would very much like to share. This has surely been

quite a journey, this business of living....

The Organism

This organism continues

On its relentless plight,

It is absurd to struggle,

Absurd to fight.

It continues to breathe,

Continues to beat.

It is absurd to struggle,

Absurd to retreat.

This organism continues,

By night and day.

It is absurd to struggle

When there is another way.

This organism seeks

Light in the dark.

It is absurd to struggle,

My mind does remark.

Then my mind went onto this one...but I don't know what I should call it...the

obvious is " I Suck " but it doesn't fit...

I suck the air so full of flavour

And dance to the beat of the earth.

I'm saturated by my surroundings

And there I found my worth.

I suck the pain of past

Within my beating heart

And I revel in the lessons,

Then watch it depart.

I suck in all the emotion,

The love fear and sorrow.

I suck in life today

Like there is no tomorrow.

Hope you like them. My poetry has changed a lot since I started this journey.

All the best to y'all.

Lou

Lou, I would really enjoy the title, 'I suck' if that were one of the messages my mind had always told me....I would see the poem as an empowering, playful contradiction to that phrase. But if that wasn't the case, then maybe not. Anyway. I enjoyed the poems, especially the second one.cheers 'It's just a step to the right....put your hands on your hips and bring your knees in tight'
