Guest guest
Today is the 6th anniversary of my fleeing home and starting a new life. I call today my Emancipation Day. Usually I celebrate by renting a fast car (convertible) and driving as far as I want and as fast as I want. (well, I only get it up to 100mph for a short distance, cuz I'm not rich enough for a speeding ticket!) It's kind of an " in your face " moment to my mother, who wouldn't let me drive til I was 25, and even then I was scared stiff I'd get some kind of ticket and she'd yank my driving privileges. (and she did cancel my car insurance the day I left her, and I didn't know.) Driving with the wind flying past my face, through beautiful country makes me feel free and happy.
