Hi Mark,

The emergency protocol for a tick bite is 1 dose of Doxy, 200 mg... It is said

this can be taken up to 72 hours, but I would get it in me ASAP and if more than

48 hours passes, I would get a script (if possible) for Doxy 200 mg, 2 x daily

for

28 days and longer if there are any symptoms.

A tick bite only has a very small infection, the Doxy hopefully will kill it..

Amoxicillin

can be substituted and should be used for kids eight and under and for pregnant

woman.. Adding in the other killing protocols you did was also good..

Take care,

Jim

Hi Debbie,

Doxycycline is the preferred abx for a tick bite or acute Lyme as it will kill

both Lyme and Ehrlichia.

It is not effective for the other co's...

Take care,

Jim
