Guest guest
I have used ginger as tea many times...and it is one of the herbs in Dr whitakers comfort plus for joints. [i paid 20 dollars for one bottle. it really helped..I had broken my arm, also my former broken bones hurt before it rains.] people with arthritis should all eat gingerbread once a week, with lemon sauce on top. My oven needs replacing or I would have one baking right now!! blessings; Rica in Ga.

Oh isn't that interesting! When I had blood drawn a couple of months ago it was an incredibly " slow draw " and I felt faint. I had to lie down in the doctor's office, and I felt so terrible that I thought I was going to die. I wonder if I'd had ginger the night before and that had caused it? I was in fear and trembling of having another blood test, but the next two have gone swimmingly - thank goodness! and the K9's
Guest guest
The common tout about ginger is anti-bacterial. Often available (and perhaps useful) when eating sushi. I use small amount in muffin recipe, and will sometimes throw a few grams for taste in chicken based recipes. I keep a big piece of root in the freezer and cut off small bits as needed. As with anything, small doses are unlikely to hurt and perhaps useful. I believe it is a blood thinner too, so perhaps useful to SAD eaters. Of course too much of a good thing can be a bad thing. (Especially any negative effects). From what I have seen it seems to have benefits. Someone suggested I use it in tea. I have tried it and it does give it an interesting tang. But I do not want to use it if it may cause problems. Rodney.
