Guest guest
Hi everyone, I just came up on this today, the $2 billion dollar Lyme debacle.. Some of you I am sure have heard about JP 's bad in house trades recentlycosting this investment bank $2 billion in losses... Ina Drew, Chief Investment Officer (CIO), was a well known and well liked personon Wall Street with an attractive investment history... She was also well paid, about $15 million yearly and apparently well worth it... Then in 2010, she contracted Lyme disease.I am sure everyone reading this recalls what happened to their own bodies when we first contracted Lyme, now imagine you have a huge investment portfolio to manage and now wonder if you think you could still manage it effectively... Apparently this was not so easy and the investment department Ina Drew was in charge of just recently lost $2 billion on a bad bet.. This coming from a woman with an impeccable investment history until she contracted Lyme... And she lost her jobover this needless to day.. Here is the full story....http://www.ibtimes.com/articles/343165/20120520/jpmorgan-chase-lyme-disease-jpm-jamie-dimon.htm So the next time you are having a tough day, just think back to this story.. I can't imagine whatit must have been like once JPM realized this HUGE loss... I've been watching the headlines and they rightfully have not been kind... Good person, bad disease, bad outcome.Take care,Jim
