Guest guest
There are so many things that if we had known, we could have done differently. I look at my last child (a daughter) whom I did everything for ( diet for myself before and during pregnancy and until she was weaned, diet for her after weaning, adjusted vaccine schedule, EVERYTHING I could according to Dr. G¹s theories. Her pediatrician told me that she is well ahead in all areas... fine/gross motor, tested straight into the gifted public school for kindergarten, very socially aware... it makes me wonder what we have done to our children as a society... stealing away their potential. I think about how EASY it would have been to do this for my other children if I had only known... it could have been so simple to prevent what has happened to them. Guest guest
Bill, That's my son, too. He was born in 1998 and reacted to the HepB--had to be hospitalized less than 24 hours after we brought him home. He wasn't nursing, fever, dehydrated, limp, etc. The poor guy went through the ringer with all sorts of testing, including a spinal tap. When nothing was found it was put on record as a " possible " reaction to the vaccination. - in Mobile, AL ______________________________________ " You must write for children in the same way as you do for adults, only better. Guest guest
Caroline, You are bang on! I think the same thing myself so often when I see the garbage I see in kids lunch bags, and those same kids climbing the walls, not listening to the teacher, no compliance, poor communication, not bright…these are not kids in the spectrum, but just poorly behaved and not thriving. All I did for my youngest was the same as you did for yours. Follow Dr. G`s advice for pregnancy diet and nursing, using the diet until she was about 3. Today she is my healthiest child who is so socially aware, bright, active so amazing and I really did very little. I sadly haven`t spent as much time reading to her, or doing puzzles or all the other things I did with my older boys. She is so together and smart, mostly I believe because she is healthy and working on all cylinders. She absorbs it all so quickly and has such a complicated and deep understanding of things so far beyond her years. I too feel sad for so many other kids who struggle and will continue to struggle because the simplest basic common sense is missing in this fast paced world. I too weep for all the lost potential. Well said Caroline, well said!!! Guest guest
Interesting re the spinal tap. Strong memory: At the hospital after I had chopped my ankle w/a rusty hatchet trying to chop wood for the fireplace that was glowing red (mono had returned & I was cold and delirious), they gave me a tetanus before taking vitals (it was the 70s - they weren't quite as careful sometimes). Then the headache came. I was prepped & bent for the spinal tap, and as the doctor was looking over my notes, he started screaming at them " you gave her a tetanus shot with a fever of 105 and mono?? "  He decided it wasn't safe to do the spinal tap at that time & they cancelled it, which I was thrilled at the time. But he said I had mono encephalitis, which you can't verify without a spinal tap! But I don't remember having a headache before it all...but I don't remember all the blood either...  I have long since suspected that (while yes, it was my 2nd round of mono in a few months and my delirium was intense) it may not have been mono enceph but a reaction to tetanus (turns out I'm highly allergic to it anyway found out by skin testing at work) and they didn't do the spinal tap to cover their butts because they didn't do a simple vitals check before giving me the tetanus. I was never " well " again. Army hospital ... I wonder if they'd still have those records? ________________________________ From: C. - Wonderwegian <carriecox@...> group < > Sent: Wed, November 10, 2010 8:10:42 AM Subject: Re: New study on Hep vaccine  Bill, That's my son, too. Guest guest
My son is included as well. A day after his HEP B shot at the hospital he got this rash from head to toe and was never able to latch on to breastfeed. Can't think about this too long - makes me mad. jc > > Bill, > > That's my son, too. He was born in 1998 and reacted to the HepB--had to be hospitalized less than 24 hours after we brought him home.
